It’s all about looking in new ways; experimenting daily in her studios and interpreting with a new language, compressing or exaggerating a visual, tactile or emotional response which can open the mind to a world beyond the obvious, escaping traditional trappings and enjoying anew again, to transmit a concentrated experience with her mediums.
PAINTING - Her surfaces reflect a fluid world in which movement and light constantly question outline, enticing you the viewer to be suspended for a moment in time, a familiar place, a sense of calm and exploration. The majority of her works are currently Encaustic (oil paints, pigments, bees wax and darmar resin). Contemporary landscapes, figurative and abstract.
CLAY - Her surfaces often have a textile quality and fluid movement, probing the forms until they are encapsulated and cohesive. All are hand built, contemporary in form with a nod to antiquity in her finishing. Contemporary vessels, figurative and wall installations.
